Strawberry Lemonade Aperol Margarita mixed simply with sweet strawberries, orange liquor, tequila, and the twist on this drink – Aperol and lemon. Simply blend with ice and finish with spicy/sweet ginger beer. A refreshing summer cocktail that’s perfectly icy, sweet, spicy and so delicious! The salted Tajin-lined rim keeps everyone coming back for a second round. Make my mocktail version to serve up to family and friends who don’t drink – everyone loves strawberry margaritas!

Ingredients for Strawberry Lemonade Aperol Margarita:

  • Tajin for the rim
  • 4-6 strawberries sliced
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce Aperol
  • 3/4 ounce Cointreau orange liquor
  • 1 ounce 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/3 cup strong ginger beer for topping
  • 1 slice lemon for rimming glasses

Instructions for Strawberry Lemonade Aperol Margarita:

  • On a shallow plate, mix the Tajin with 2 tablespoons sea salt. Rim your glasses with the Tajin salt, then fill the glasses with ice.
  • In a cocktail shaker or glass jar, muddle the strawberries with the tequila, squashing everything to release the juices. Add the Aperol, Cointreau, lemon juice, and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake until combined.

Notes

  • To Make a Mocktail: omit the tequila, Aperol, and orange liquor. Use 2 tablespoons of apple cider or sparkling apple cider and mix with 1 tablespoon of orange juice.
