Easy Mediterranean Mezze Platter

This platter is great for year-round entertaining plus everything comes from the store. Nothing is more impressive than a beautiful spread of Mediterranean offerings: Tzatziki, hummus, marinated peppers, olives, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. Fill out your platter with fresh pita, pita chips, and crackers to create the perfect appetizer. It always impresses and is completely no fuss.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Tzatziki sauce
  • 2 cups hummus
  • 1-2 cups marinated/pickled bell peppers
  • 1 jar sun-dried tomato pesto
  • 2 cups marinated feta cheese
  • 2 cups marinated olives
  • Persian cucumbers
  • cherry tomatoes
  • chunks of avocado tossed with lemon + sea salt
  • assorted fruits cherries, peaches, berries, figs
  • assorted nuts: roasted pistachios candied walnuts, Marcona almonds
  • assorted jams/and or honey
  • assorted pita pita chips, and crackers
  • 1 handful fresh herbs/ edible flowers

Lemon Herb Vinaigrette:

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic or champagne vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 shallot finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • red pepper flakes
  • kosher salt and black pepper.
  • Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and whisk until smooth. Taste and adjust the chili flakes salt, and pepper.

Instructions
 

  • Make sure all ingredients are close to room temperature.
  • Arrange all the ingredients on a large platter or cutting board. Drizzle the vinaigrette or olive oil over the Tzatziki and hummus. Arrange assorted pita, pita chips, and crackers around the platter. Garnish as desired with herbs and edible flowers
