Caramel Apple Cheesecake
Just made this amazing Caramel Apple Cheesecake - the perfect blend of sweet apples and rich caramel!
Ingredients
- 2 cups finely crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 3 large apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
- In a skillet, sauté the apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until just softened. Set aside to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Layer with sautéed apples, then top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Allow to cool completely before removing from the pan.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
