Ingredients

  • 14 oz little smokies sausages some come in 12 oz packages
  • 16 oz maple bacon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • Extra maple syrup for baking

Instructions

  • Place toothpicks into a bowl with water to soak for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Remove the sausages and bacon from the packaging and pour maple syrup into a small bowl. Cut the whole stack of bacon into three even portions, so each slice is cut into thirds.
  • Dip a sausage in maple syrup, then wrap it with a piece of bacon, securing it with a soaked toothpick.
  • Arrange the wrapped sausages on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 13 minutes, then flip each one and continue baking for another 10-13 minutes, depending on the thickness of the bacon.
  • Serve with extra maple syrup for dipping.
