Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade seasoning
  • ½ cup beef broth or chicken/vegetable broth
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce

Optional Toppings:

  • Salsa
  • Guacamole or avocado slices
  • Jalapeños for extra heat

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Stir in taco seasoning and beef broth. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
  • Warm the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20-30 seconds until soft and pliable.
  • Assemble the Wraps: Place a warm tortilla on a flat surface. Spoon a portion of the beef mixture in the center, then top with shredded cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce.
  • Wrap and Serve: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
  • Serve immediately with optional toppings like salsa, guacamole, or jalapeños for an extra kick.

Notes

  • To make these wraps ahead of time, store the beef mixture and toppings separately. Reheat the beef and assemble the wraps when you’re ready to serve.
  • For a lower-carb option, substitute flour tortillas with lettuce wraps or low-carb tortillas.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste, adding more spice if desired.
