Ingredients:

14 oz little smokies sausages (some come in 12 oz packages)
16 oz maple bacon
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Extra maple syrup for baking

Directions:

Place toothpicks into a bowl with water to soak for about 10-15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Remove the sausages and bacon from the packaging and pour maple syrup into a small bowl. Cut the whole stack of bacon into three even portions, so each slice is cut into thirds.

Dip a sausage in maple syrup, then wrap it with a piece of bacon, securing it with a soaked toothpick.

Arrange the wrapped sausages on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.

Bake for 13 minutes, then flip each one and continue baking for another 10-13 minutes, depending on the thickness of the bacon.

Serve with extra maple syrup for dipping.
