Asiago Tortellini Alfredo with Grilled Chicken
Asiago Tortellini Alfredo with Grilled Chicken is sure to become a new favorite. Nothing screams comfort food like a piping hot bowl of creamy pasta. Tender tortellini, paired with grilled chicken in a creamy Alfredo sauce. Pair it with a Caesar salad or some crusty bread for a satisfying meal.
Equipment
- Large Skillet (I prefer cast-iron, it goes from stove/oven to table)
Ingredients
- 2 cups cheese tortellini
- 2 grilled chicken breasts sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Asiago cheese grated
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add butter and let it melt. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the grated Asiago cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook until the cheese is melted, and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked tortellini and sliced grilled chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
