Longhorn Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Today, we’re diving into the delectable world of Longhorn Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken. This dish is a splendid blend of savory flavors, featuring a crispy, cheese-laden crust atop juicy, perfectly cooked chicken.
Equipment
- Large Skillet (oven-safe) (I prefer cast-iron, it goes from stove/oven to table)
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil. **Or you can use the cast-iron skillet for a more rustic presentation.
- Season and Cook Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts until they are golden brown on both sides but not cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish. Or use the cast-iron skillet for a more rustic presentation.
- Prepare Topping: In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, melted butter, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined.
- Assemble Dish: Top each chicken breast with the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese. Sprinkle the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
